Aboriginal Seafood Network (ASN)
Aboriginal Seafood Network Inc. (ASN) is an Aboriginal Communal Commercial Fisheries Enterprise which is managed by a stand alone manager and has one shareholder which is the New Brunswick Aboriginal Peoples Council and has a clearer mandate or vision to focus on economic growth through resource access and aim towards viability and stability of ASN. A business like approach to the distribution of excess revenue over expenditures has to become the focus of the Board and Executive of ASN
Today ASN has a dedicated manager, there are growing division and continues towards it path of sustainable growth for the expressed economic and social benefit of the traditional ancestral homeland Mi’kmaq/Maliseet/Passamaquoddy Aboriginal peoples of New Brunswick, building positive predictable relationship with the Federal Government and the fishing industry remains important to continue and foster.
