NBAPC S&RA Committee

The Committee shall provide support and direction to the Sport Authority Officer.

 

The committee shall have at least one (1) youth, one (1) elder, one (1) NBAPC board of director, one (1) NBAPC Health staff, the executive director and up to four (4) community representatives (for a total of nine (9) committee members).

 

The NBAPC S&RA Committee shall meet no less than six (6) times per year.  The date and time of these meetings will be announced. 

 

An agenda, minutes of the previous meeting, and an action item report will be provided to the committee for review at least one day prior to the scheduled meeting. 

 

Committee members will be placed on a contact list and contacted prior to each meeting. 

 

Meetings will be open to the general public.

 

The quorum of any meeting held by the NBAPC S&RA shall be a minimum of 50% +1 of the committee (5).

 

Meetings will be conducted in an orderly, democratic manner, following a pre-determined agenda approved by those present. 

 

All present at meetings and workshops have to the right to speak freely, sharing ideas, thoughts, and advice as it pertains to the subject at hand.

 

A secretary shall be appointed at each Committee meeting and minutes shall be kept of discussion and decisions made.

 

The Chief and Executive has the authority to approve all expenditures as they arise for the NBAPC S&RA. 

 

The NBAPC S&RA’s total working budget for each fiscal year is determined by the approved budget from the funding agency, plus any other funding received for this program. 

 

All invoices and receipts must be submitted to the NBAPC Financial Office for reimbursement.

 

No member of the NBAPC Sport & Recreation Authority Committee shall derive any personal profit or gain, directly or indirectly, by reason of his or her work with this committee.

 

No expenses will be provided for the attendance of regular committee meetings.

 

The committee will review and forward names of exceptional athletes, coaches and volunteers for provincial and national awards.
