Our Guiding Principles
Youth Focused, that is, placing special attention on our youth. They are the future of our communities.
Grassroots, that is, Community involvement with direction from our elders and our youth for a better future.
Self Empowerment, that is, to give individuals control over their lifestyle choices, community services and facilities that support the development of sport and recreation in their community.
Holistic, that is, based on practices of all Aboriginal cultures, given by the Creator and taught by the elders, promoting a balance through the integration of the physical, mental, emotional, natural and the spiritual growth of the individual.
Health, that is, promoting a healthier lifestyle in the way we eat and maintain good health, to try to combat epidemic health issues such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease etc.
Diversity, that is, recognizing within
Equality, that is, all Aboriginal people will have equitable, barrier free access to a broad range of quality sport and recreation activities.
Zero Tolerance, that is alcohol and drugs is a major detriment to our people, and it will not be tolerated during our activities.
Consensus Driven, that is, we will encourage group solidarity when determining our direction
